Pilates lessons increase movement ability through a system of specific exercises. Employing a wide variety of motions executed with the support of equipment and the challenge of resistance, pilates helps develop an increased awareness of the body. With this awareness, students are better able to move with control and therefore improve posture, balance, stability, breathing, coordination, strength, and flexibility. These enhanced skills help to increase efficiency, prevent injuries and reduce pain. 

In addition to teaching pilates repertoire, I also draw from fundamental movement principals found in dance, Alexander Technique, yoga, and physical therapy to help my students achieve their goals. 

I offer private pilates instruction to people of all ages, experience levels, and health needs. Lesson are specifically designed to meet each student's capabilities and goals.
